What is FIRST?

FIRST stands for “For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology”. It encourages youth involvement in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. FIRST shares several values including respect, honesty, communication, and leadership which are all components of gracious professionalism. Gracious Professionalism promotes high-quality work, emphasizes the value of others, and respects individuals and the community. What is the First Tech Challenge?

The First Tech Challenge is an international competition where students ranging from grades 7-12 compete against each other using a sports model. Team members are responsible for designing, building and programming their robots for autonomous and driver operated modes to preform a series of tasks.
